Student Missions Day

This event is for students 6th - 12th grades and their chaperones/leaders.

Join us for a day of learning about and doing missions with IMPACT Ministries in Myrtle Beach! We will have both morning and afternoon missions projects such as kids camps and hospitality ministries. We will take a break during lunch so that we can learn about how God is working in Myrtle Beach and around the world. Details about what supplies you will need for your ministry projects will be emailed to you as the event approaches. This is going to be a great day of serving together! We hope to see you there!

There is also an option of extending your trip by staying overnight at IMPACT Ministries Retreat Center! Whether you want to build in some more fun time with your students or experience campground church on Sunday morning, email Peter Copeland with all questions regarding lodging.

The price of $35.00 per person includes lunch and a t-shirt. You can pay by check, but if you choose to mail a check-in, remember to mail it early as it takes time for us to receive it in time. When mailing the check, please also include the following for each student: Name, Grade, Age, Gender, T-shirt size, and Allergies/Dietary Restrictions. For leaders, include: Name, Gender, T-shirt size, Email, and Phone number. Please make checks payable to SC WMU and mail the check to SC WMU, Attn: Michelle Schultz. 190 Stoneridge Drive, Columbia, SC 29210. Thanks so much for your attention to this.

Children's Missions Day

  • Various Locations Throughout South Carolina (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Join thousands of kids across the country in hands-on ministry in your community for Children’s Missions Day! WMU invites all children in grades 1–6 to participate each year.

From feeding hungry people to visiting shut-ins, boys and girls follow God’s command to “put your love into action” (1 John 3:18). Church groups create projects that meet needs in their own communities. WMU created Children’s Missions Day to move children out of their churches and into their communities to do missions. The first Children’s Missions Day was in 2008. Since then, thousands of people have taken part in this special day.

Christmas in August

Christmas in August provides a simple way you can directly help a North American missionary.

Every year WMU and the North American Mission Board partner to select missionaries who will be featured in Christmas in August. These missionaries provide a list of items they need for ministry and outreach. The lists of requested items are posted online, and then you can select a missionary (or two or three), collect the requested items and send the items to the missionaries.
