Congratulations on becoming an associational leader! It is an honor to serve the churches in your area and assist them with WMU®. There are some special resources and training available for you.
Our South Carolina Associational Leadership Training (ALT) is an important time for you as an associational leader. It will help you understand the responsibilities of your job and how to carry them out effectively. ALT is scheduled for the spring each year in each region of the state. Check our scheduled meetings to find out when your region is holding their spring meeting.
The basic resource every associational leader needs is the WMU Missions Guide for Associational Leaders. You can purchase it here. It explains the work of the associational WMU and helps WMU leaders understand how to effectively engage the churches in their association as they work together to accomplish the mission of God.
Each year there is a CD released for associational leaders. The Associational Leader Tool is designed specifically to equip associational leaders as you plan training for church leaders. This resource can be purchased here.
Keep us updated! Please print off, fill out and mail in a copy of your Associational Leadership Card to the state office. Once we have your information, you will begin receiving an Associational Missions Link which will help you plan your year and know of upcoming events!
For more information, visit the national WMU site.
Thank you for the investment you are making in the churches in your association. Know that the SC WMU staff is available to help assist you in your work. We look forward to working with you.
