2010 Camp La Vida Camper Essays

Read what campers say in their own words about their experiences at Camp La Vida. These essays, written by campers, were winners of an essay contest held each session. The essays are judged by the missionaries and programs guests, who also provide prizes from their area of service for the winners. Below is what Kyle had to say. You can find more of the winner's essays here.

Kyle, June 16, Age 12, Cabin 16: “I’m glad I came to Camp La Vida because I get to learn more about God with other girls that I can connect with. I love this camp so much. I have had a lot of fun with all my new good friends. I love the fact that these good people care so much as to build a camp so that girls can get to know God better and be able to make new friends. I have always known who God was but never really knew how much God really cares about us. I ‘m glad I came because I get to meet missionaries and get to know what it is like to be somewhere else and to teach God’s word. I think everything that this camp is doing great. Unfortunately this is my last year here at camp because my church does not do Acteens. I’m glad I came to Camp La Vida because I get to learn more about our Lord God in heaven.”
